TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)-- Topekans put the pedal to the metal for a good cause tonight.
Heartland Park hosted this year's "Pedal To The Metal" fundraising event for Meals On Wheels.
The adults only event allowed participants to race their car or motorcycle down the drag strip as well as take part in a racing simulator, climbing wall, and "whack a car" game.
Money raised from Friday night's fundraiser went to meal on wheels -- an organization that provides food to the elderly, homeless, disabled or others in need of help across Shawnee and Jefferson Counties.
