TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Road crews are taking advantage of the nice weather to fix three pothole patches on I-70 Wednesday.
The work was planned for the right lane of WB I-70 between US-75 and Wanamaker Road.
According to Kimberly Qualls, KDOT spokesperson, the potholes were to be jackhammered out and replaced with hot mix asphalt. Allowing time for the mix to set, the road was expected to reopen by 3:00 p.m.
Qualls said the department wanted to get the road work taken care of before the weekend and colder temperatures arrive.
