TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__ Hawaii is about a 10-hour plane trip from Topeka, but that did not stop Lake Shawnee from throwing its very own luau.
Shawnee County Parks And Recreation threw the Hawaiian themed festival Saturday at the marina.
Visitors listened to live music from Kyler Carpenter while they played traditional luau games.
Topekans could even take their own little mini Hawaiin cruise on decorated discounted paddle boats.
The festival also had concessions and free face painting.
