TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- The Mexican culture was celebrated Saturday morning as Fiesta Mexicana week is about to get underway.
The 81st annual Fiesta Mexicana parade kicked off at 10:30 beginning at 4th and Kansas Avenue in downtown Topeka.
Festive floats decorated with vibrant reds, whites and greens lined the streets, as spectators gathered for the Topeka tradition. Music blared and people danced and gave out candy.
The Fiesta Royalty candidates, Maddy Gallegos, Johna Herrera and Xavier Rodriguez each had their own float in the parade.
