Sunday Tuttle Creek Drowning Victim Identified

MANHATTAN, Kan. -(WIBW) Riley County Police say they have found the body of the 25 year old man who went missing in Tuttle Creek Lake Sunday.

About 10 p.m. Sunday night emergency crews recovered the body of Matthew Mann, 25, of Junction City, Kansas who was pronounced dead at the scene as a victim of drowning.

Two other passengers, Jessica Regodos, 22, and Joshua Jacobs, 28, both of Manhattan, were rescued from the lake by a fisherman and taken to Mercy Regional Hospital.

Officers believe none of the passengers were wearing life-jackets when the incident occurred.

Mission Township water search and rescue is assisting in the effort. No further details have been given. Officers say a press release will be available Monday.
