TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- One road block north of Topeka is over, clearing the way for another.
A new roundabout at NW 46th and Topeka Boulevard opened to traffic last week.
The intersection had been closed since March, all but the westbound side is open to traffic tonight.
Work now moves to the second phase of the project, widening 46th to three lanes and adding a second roundabout at the intersection with Rochester Road.
The Rochester Road intersection at 46th will close Thursday along with 46th east to the Soldier Township Fire Station.
A marked detour will be posted. The project is expected to wrap-up in mid-November.
