TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Rush hour traffic on I-70 was a bit tricky Monday evening.
A fuel spill closed a portion of the highway near Auburn Road for about an hour and a half.
Kansas Highway Patrol officials tell 13 News that a semi-truck tire blew up, knocking out the truck's fuel and air lines as the tire fell apart.
The driver couldn't get off to the shoulder so crews first brought traffic to one lane before closing the section of highway completely until the semi could be towed.
No injuries were reported.
