Officials Take Part In Emergency Drill

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Following the commission meeting, officials took time to become more prepared to deal with a major emergency.

An emergency drill was held after today's Shawnee County Commission meeting.

Officials re-enacted a major event occurring during a Saint Patrick's Day parade in Downtown Topeka.

The goal of today's event was to learn how to keep things running smoothly in a time of chaos.

About 55 people participated in today's drill.
