Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - "O How We Need Your Blood" is the theme of a blood drive coming up.
The Community Blood Center will host the drive Tuesday from Noon to 6 p.m. in the lower level of Westridge Mall by J.C. Penney.
"When individuals normally think of essential community services, they think about the fire and police departments," said Dr. Jay Menitove, Executive Director and Medical Director with Community Blood Center. "However, because Community Blood Center is here to meet the needs of local patients, we would hope that individuals in our community would consider us to be just as essential."
To make an appointment go to www.esavealifenow.org and use the sponsor code "ohowweneedyou".
The C.B.C. is mainly in need of type O blood and B and A Negative.
Just one donation can help as many as two people. The C.B.C. must collect at least 580 pints of blood every day to meet the needs of our area.
