LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ A California-based plastics manufacturer says it will open a new plant in Lawrence, bringing 120 jobs to the city.
Plastikon Industries and the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce jointly announced the $7 million deal on Thursday.
The Lawrence Journal-World reports that Plastikon officials say most of the new workers will be hired from the area.
The company is finalizing its purchase of the plant site. It will produce plastic vials used in healthcare labs around the world.
