TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)--New shops opened for business around the NOTO Arts District Friday.
Five ribbon cuttings took place as part of July's "First Friday Market and Art Walk."
Veterans park entryway to the NOTO Arts District was one of those hosting a ribbon cutting.
The entryway was "opened" as First Friday vendors took their places underneath it.
A new art and antiques store also opened Friday Evening.
Yeldarb Gallery will feature artists who work with watercolors, ceramics, and abstract work among others.
The new gallery opened in a 110 year old building located on North Kansas Avenue.
After visiting the galleries, visitors could also satisfy their sweet tooth at Mayking Cakes & Confections, which had it's ribbon cutting, as well.
The cupcake shop already has one bakery in the Ramada, but the owner decided to expand to the NOTO district.
