New Non-Profit Goes Green

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-A new non-profit organization is encouraging members to go green.

The non-profit organization is called "Green Gals." Co-founders and children gathered at the Equality House to make recycled art.

They used broccoli and celery as paintbrushes to paint old records they found in dumpsters.

Co- founders say they hope to educate children on the environment and the importance of going green.

This was the first free event for Green Gals and they plan to sell their artwork at the Farmer's Market.
