TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A new exhibit crept into the Topeka Zoo Thursday.
Zoo officials swarmed with donors to cut the ribbon in the Schendel Bug Zoo.
The exhibit is made possible through a donation from Schendel Pest Services, which, ironically, makes its living exterminating creepy crawlers.
The bug zoo features a wide variety of bugs from around the world like the Madagascar hissing cockroach, the Mexican red knee tarantula and the giant desert centipede. It also will draw attention to the relationships of humans and bugs.
The Schendel Bug Zoo is open daily and included with regular zoo admission.
