TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A new Kansas Court of Appeals judge took his oath Friday afternoon.
Judge Kim R. Schroeder was appointed by Gov. Sam Brownback to succeed Judge Christel Marquardt, who retired in January.
Schroeder has served in the 26th Judicial District Court in southwest Kansas since 1998, most recently as a trial judge. Before that, he practiced general law in Hugoton for almost 17 years.
