TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The new NOTO Saturday Market will open with a ribbon cutting Saturday, April 7, 2012.
Officials will be on hand for the ceremonial ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m. at the north end of the Kansas Avenue Memorial Bridge and Veteran's Park. Parking is available in the 200-car parking lot just west of the Market.
Dignitaries will be on hand to join NOTO committee members in cutting the ribbon. The first 50 people (one per family) to show up will get a tote bag with the new NOTO Saturday Market logo. Tote bags will also be available for purchase.
The NOTO Saturday Market runs from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. weekly through November 3, 2012 and will have a focus on the arts, antiques, crafts, heritage foods and locally-grown produce with music and entertainment.
Angela Broadhead, winner of the LOGO contest for the NOTO Saturday Market will be introduced and presented a
$500 check for the winning entry. All logo entries are displayed in the NOTO Community Arts Center.
