TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two local students were honored for their interest in art Friday.
Fifth graders Briza Arrilola-Soto and Alejandro Garay of Quincy Elementary won the first NOTO Student Art Awards. The students wrote an essay on how art affects their lives to win the competition.
The pair was introduced at NOTO's First Friday Art Walk festivities.
Garay and Arrelola-soto each received a gift of free art classes at the NOTO Community Arts Center.
