TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The North Topeka Arts District celebrated the First Friday Art Walk with four new businesses and a big gift.

Washburn University Law students presented a $1200 check to NOTO. The money was raised during an event at Serendipity, a business in the NOTO district, earlier this year.

NOTO leaders also introduced the teachers for classes at the district's new art center in kicking off signup for the sessions. They also showed off projects from the Quincy Visual Art Learning Academy.

Following the announcements, the district hosted four ribbon cuttings. The festivities started with Generations, an antiques and collectibles store at 918 North Kansas Ave. They then moved to Earth and Fire, an art studio at 902 N. Kansas; Rewind, a store featuring antiques, stained glass and collectibles at 840 N. Kansas; and, finally, Two Wolves Studio and Artist Den, a shared workspace for artists at 837 1/2 N. Kansas.
