MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The Nation Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan is one step closer to completion.
The House Appropriations Committee approved $75 million for construction today.
They also told the Department of Homeland Security to complete a funding plan for the site.
The committee called for the $40 million in fiscal year 2011 and $50 million in fiscal year 2012 be released.
In total, the new funds will give NBAF $165 million to complete its construction in Kansas.
