Motorcyclist Flips Over Car, Seriously Injured

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Police say a man driving a motorcycle down SW 29th Street failed to break in time for a red light.

The motorcyclist tried to stop by laying his bike down on the side, but hit the back of a white passenger car. He flipped over its roof and landed on its side.

It happened at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday near the SW 29th and SW MacVicar intersection.

The man is in serious, but non life-threatening condition and was transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.

Police say he was wearing a helmet.

The woman in the white car was not injured.
