TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)-- Most of the Kansas National Guard technicians furloughed will be recalled back to work.
Acting on guidance handed down from the National Guard Bureau, the Adjutant General's Department is recalling most the technicians furloughed earlier due to the federal government shutdown.
All but five of the 772 Kansas National Guard's federal technicians who were furloughed will return to duty.
The five furloughed are non-dual status technicians who work for the Kansas National Guard and do not meet the Secretary of Defense guidelines for the recall.
