TOPEKA--An East Topeka convenience store is back open after being shut down for a month an a half.

The former Mo's Express at 15th and Adams reopened for business Saturday, now named "Phillips 66 Food and Tobacco."

The store is being leased to a group out of Leavenworth that operates similar stores.

A sign on the door asks all customers to remove hats and hoodies for the safety of employees and an enclosure around the register is being built.

Mo's Express closed January 6th, a day after the body of Hudson Crossing developer Corey Brown was found in rural Douglas county.

The store's previous managing partner, Monroe Lockhart, is among three men charged in a November aggravated burglary and assault.

Former store manager Anthony Talert also is accused in the case.
