WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Voting is under way at the Republican
caucus in Wichita after more than 1,000 people heard speeches from
surrogates for the presidential candidates.
Rick Santorum's wife, Karen, likened the primary race to a David
and Goliath battle where her husband is the David in the race.
She told the crowd he supports lower taxes and limited
government.
Wichita is an aircraft manufacturing hub and the candidate's
wife played to that. She said he will make sure manufacturing jobs
return and that manufacturers are profitable by cutting taxes.
U.S. Rep. Mike Pompeo told voters earlier he wishes Congress had
done more in his first 14 months of office, but he said lawmakers
stopped a lot of President Obama's policies. He asked voters to
send 61 Republican senators to work with them.
