Manhattan, KS (May 28, 2013) – Festival officials from Kicker Country Stampede presented by Verizon Wireless announced today that due to unforeseen circumstances, the Pistol Annies are unable to appear for their scheduled tour dates in June, however, Miranda Lambert plans to honor all of these engagements and perform for all the fans that purchased a ticket.
Lambert is without a doubt one of the biggest names in country music today. She has earned Female Vocalist of the Year award from both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music as well as the coveted Album of the Year from both organizations in previous years. She made history in 2011 when her fourth release, Four The Record, debuted at the top spot, making her the first country artist in the 47-year history of the chart to have each of her first four albums debut at No. 1. She also claimed a Grammy in 2011 when she took home the Best Female Country Vocal Performance trophy. Despite all of her industry success “Ran”, as she is simply known as by her fans, has retained a close connection with her rabid audience, who have carried her to the top of not just country music but mainstream pop culture. She has been named as one of People’s Most Beautiful People and is a frequent presence in other entertainment news outlets with her husband Blake Shelton. Festival attendees can expect an explosive performance as she headlines Sunday, June 30th.
Also performing on Sunday night is hit recording artist Randy Houser (Runnin' Outta Moonlight), hot new up-and-comer Morgan Frazier, and Christian artist CrossCountry
Filling the Thursday, June 27th headlining spot will be critically acclaimed platinum-selling group Little Big Town. Winner of several awards and honors including this year’s CMA Vocal Group of the Year, the group has been tearing up the charts and thrilling fans for years. They will be joined by Thomas Rhett (Beer With Jesus), hot new act The Cadillac Three, and No Justice.
Country music heavyweight Jason Aldean, already announced to appear on the 2013 lineup. Aldean, who has had his share of prestigious awards and number one hits, will be performing Friday June 28th. He will be joined by Jake Owen (“The One That Got Away”), fan favorite Colt Ford, hot new up-and-coming act Parmalee, and wild new group Bush Hawg.
Saturday night’s headliner is mutli-platum recording artist, author, actor, TV personality and recent winner of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice Trace Adkins. He will be joined by platinum recording artist and American Idol winner Scotty McCreery. American Idol finalist Casey James and fan favorites LoCash Cowboys round out the Saturday round out the lineup.
