Minority And Women Entrepreneurs Honored At Luncheon

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-It is Kansas Minority Enterprise Development week and a local department held a celebration for minority and women entrepreneurs.

The Kansas Department of Commerce's Office of Minority and Women Business Development hosted its 29th annual awards luncheon Tuesday in the Emerald Ballroom at Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka.

The event recognized 13 companies for their support of Kansas minority and women owned businesses and their efforts to create opportunities, among them is Rico Steele's Martial Arts Academy in Junction City and T.R.E.A.L. Fashions in Topeka .
