TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__ Midland Care announced it's 2012 Celebration Walk fundraiser totals Thursday at the Midland Care Education Center.
They raised over $131,000 from the fundraising event that supports the not for profit hospice care. The annual walk is to celebrate the lives of family and friends of those who participate.
Karren Weichert, CEOof Midland Care expressed how glad she was to have raised such an amazing amount. "We are just delighted with that total and we couldn't be more pleased with all the support the community has given us for this event."
People came from 20 counties to participate in the celebration walk that was held in may.
