Middle School Kids Design Future City Skylines

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW)-The future of our cities sky-lines were in the hands of middle schoolers today in Manhattan.

Youthful future city designers, planners, and architects showed off their creativity in this afternoons Future City Competition.

Middle school aged children from Kansas and Missouri competed in the great plains region event to imagine, design and build cities of the future.

They worked as a team with an educator and engineer mentor to plan cities using Sim City 4 3D Deluxe Software.

They also built table top scale models with recycled materials.
