TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The new Menards building in southwest Topeka is looking more and more like a real store.
13 News has learned the home improvement chain is shooting for a mid-August opening for its first Topeka location.
The store has been hiring workers and completing construction. While they finish the building, crews are also finishing up road construction work to accommodate the store. SW 17th is being extended to Urish Road, with a roundabout at the 17th and Urish intersection. Also, Kingsrow Road now runs between SW 21st and SW 17th.
Menards also has a location in Manhattan.
