TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- People needing help with the new health care exchanges have a place to find it.
Mayor Larry Wolgast tried out the application system at the Topeka and Shawnee County Library, saying it took him about 15 minutes to go through the process.
Librarians are on hand to explain the process. They can help set up email accounts for people and then navigators can assist in filling out the actual applications.
Wolgast warns people to be on the lookout for scammers who will try to charge a fee for the program.
Wolgast says there is no fee to sign up and the application process is also free.
