MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police have arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery at a Manhattan convenience store.
On Wednesday, February 6, 2013, around 1:20 AM, officers responded to a holdup at the Dara's Fast Lane on Claflin Road, located across the street from Kansas State University's campus and one of the dormitories.
According to a press release from the Riley County Police Department, a man wearing a black mask robbed the business at gunpoint and got away.
RCPD officials say a separate investigation into a Criminal Damage to Property case led them to search the suspects' apartment on Anderson Avenue where officers ended up finding evidence relating to the Dara's incident.
One of the suspects, Dennis Denzien, 20, of Manhattan, was arrested for Aggravated Robbery Wednesday. He was also arrested for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $55,000.
The suspected gunman in the armed robbery at Dara's, 22-year-old Frank Joseph Hanson III, was arrested Thursday in Grandview Plaza for Aggravated Robbery. RCPD officers along with the Junction City Police Department and Grandview Plaza Police Department located Hanson and took him into custody. His bond was set at $100,000.
Patrick Martin, 20, of Manhattan, was arrested in the unrelated Criminal Damage to Property investigation for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Mushrooms with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. His bond was set at $20,000. Officials say his arrest is not connected to the robbery at Dara's.
Police list the same home address for all three men.
