MARYSVILLE, Kam. (WIBW)-- A Marysville teacher has been selected as a National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow.
Kim Houtz is one of 14 selected to travel to Arctic svalbard, because of her excellence in geography education.
Houtz teaches biology, anatomy, physiology and forensic science at Marysville High School. She developed science curriculum for Duke University and the National Institutes of Health.
The fellows honorees will travel to the Arctic this summer, and share the experience with students in the fall.
