Topeka Police responded to two separate robberies to pizza delivery drivers where guns were displayed.
The first incident occurred at 3387 SE Fremont at about 10:23 pm Tuesday. The pizza driver arrived to make his delivery and was confronted by a larger, black male subject with dread locks armed with a handgun. The driver complied with the robber’s demands and no one was hurt.
The second incident occurred as a pizza delivery driver was going to 512 SW 14th to deliver an order at 11:14 pm Tuesday. The driver was accosted by a shorter, black male with a silver handgun who robbed him of the delivery items and his money.
During the course of the investigation information was developed that the robberies may have been related and committed by two persons working together. A van was found in a parking lot of an apartment complex in the 200 block of SE Lime occupied by two people and five children at about 11:58 pm. Both were talked to and agreed to speak with detectives at the Topeka Police Department. Later both subjects were arrested for their involvement in both robberies. The children were given over to other family in the area.
Arrested was Royelle D. Hunt, 23 years of age, and Jasmine N. Hunt, 25 years of age, for both robberies and one additional robbery that happened several days prior. The two individuals are married. Evidence of the crimes from tonight was collected. Further questions should be routed to the Criminal Investigation Division at 368-9400.
