MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say an autopsy has been requested to determine how a 26-year-old Manhattan man died.
Lieutenant Josh Kyle, a spokesman for the Riley County Police Department, says Blake Birnbaum was found dead in his apartment in the Park Place complex on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 7:45 AM. The complex is located on Cambridge Place, near the intersection of Claflin Road and Seth Child Road in Manhattan.
Birnbaum’s parents called police and were concerned for his welfare when they could not get in touch with him.
Kyle says there is nothing suspicious about Birnbaum’s death and no foul play is suspected. The precise cause of death is unclear, Kyle told reporters Friday. He says Birnbaum did not have any health problems. An autopsy has been requested to determine the exact cause of death.
