MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Riley County police arrested a man on child pornography charges Thursday.
Chad Anderson Smith, 35 years old, of 1027 Yuma Street, Apt. 1, in Manhattan was arrested for allegedly downloading and, or trading child pornography, officials say.
Bond was set at $5,000.
The arrest is part of an undercover operation with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. It's an ongoing investigation to target offenders who exploit children in and around Riley County.
ICAC is a national organization made up of law enforcement professionals, who target child offenders. RCPD is a new member of the Kansas Chapter.
