MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police are investigating a robbery at a Manhattan trailer park that left a local man without his money and clothing.

Officers were called to the Countryside Mobile Home Park near the intersection of Casement Road and Allen Road around 5 AM on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.

Tharen Sparke, 27, who police say lives in the trailer park, reported that cash and clothing items were taken from him by two acquaintances during a dispute. He received minor injuries in the scuffle.

Officials say no weapons were involved in the attack, describing it as a physical altercation.

An RCPD spokesman says “some of” Sparke’s clothing was removed from him along with his money and he went walking around the area seeking assistance until he made contact with a nearby resident who called police.

The robbery remains under investigation.
