Man Found Guilty of Vandalizing Menninger Clock Tower

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - Sentencing is set for a man convicted of vandalizing the Menninger clock tower building.

Mathew Evertson was found guilty of criminal damage and criminal trespass when he appeared before Shawnee County District Judge Richard Anderson last week.

The destruction was discovered in late June of 2006. The building was found with more than 250 broken windows and other forms of vandalism.

Evertson is scheduled to be sentenced on August 17th.
