TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A vehicle chase with Topeka Police became a foot chase when the driver hit a tree at NE Sardou Avenue and NE Green Street in Topeka's Oakland neighborhood.
Police began the pursuit just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the area of SE 4th Street and SE Golden Avenue.
As of 3 a.m. authorities were still searching for the driver. It appears he was alone in the vehicle.
