Man Accused In Liquor Store Killing Waives Prelim

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The man accused in a Christmas Eve killing at a Topeka liquor store will stand trial in the case.

Matthew Myers waived his preliminary hearing moments before it was to begin Thursday in Shawnee County District Court.

He's charged in the shooting death of Matthew Hill. Hill was killed working at the Hudson Crossing Liquor Store.

Myers will be back in court May 31st for his arraignment. He remains jailed on $1 million bond.
