Man Stabbed In Pottawatomie Co., Suspect Mad About Radio

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Officials say a weekend stabbing in Manhattan may have been over loud music.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing reported to have occurred at Pottawatomie County State Lake # 2 ( 8010 State Lake Road Manhattan) on Sunday August 11th, around 2 a.m. Deputies responded to the report of a person being stabbed at the lake.

The victim, a 23-year-old male from Manhattan, Kansas was later located at a Manhattan hospital being treated for a non life threatening injury.

The victim reported to Deputies that he had been involved in a fight with a white male. The victim did not know the suspect but stated the suspect was upset because the victim had his radio turned up too loud.

The suspect is described as a white male, 16-18 years of age and about 6 feet tall and 170 to 180 pounds, curly blond hair and was wearing a bluish or greenish colored shirt. No further description is available.
