(WIBW) - A Topeka man will serve five years in federal prison - then be deported.
The sentence was handed down Tuesday against 23-year-old Felipe Vega-Ramos. He pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a firearm to further drug trafficking.
Vega-Ramos admitted that, in April 2012, members of a drug task force arranged to buy cocaine and meth from him. A search of his home turned up a .38 caliber pistol a .22 caliber conversion kit, an apparent silencer and various ammunition.
Once Vega-Ramos serves his prison time, he will be turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation.
