Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - A man leading Topeka police on a very short chase is in custody.
Police received a call at 4:17 p.m. Saturday afternoon about someone firing gunshot in the 1000 block of Southeast 33rd Terrace.
The caller said the man sped away in a purple or maroon Ford Ranger.
A nearby police officer spotted the vehicle and attempted to stop the driver, who initiated a brief pursuit, lasting less than a minute, Sergeant Ron Ekis said. The man's truck ended up crashing in the 1000-block of Southeast Indiana. He is not injured and is being questioned by authorities.
