Man Hit Thursday By Car On K-68 Identified

OVERBROOK, Kan (WIBW)-- The identity of the road worker hit by a passing vehicle Thursday near Ottawa has been released.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said 62 year old Overbrook resident William Vandorn was standing on westbound K-68 Highway when he was struck by a truck shortly after 9 a-m.

The truck was driven by 73 year old William McNish of Ottawa.

Vandorn was flagging traffic for a non-injury rollover accident that happened about a half hour before when he was hit.

Vandorn was flown to a nearby hospital by Lifestar. At this time, his condition is still unknown.
