(WIBW) - Sentencing is set for the man accused of murdering a Mayetta man in January 2013.
Lloyd Wabaunsee pleaded no contest Friday to intentional second degree murder in Jackson County District Court.
Wabaunsee was charged in the fatal shooting of Kevin Stanley. Authorities say Wabaunsee then fled the state with three other people. They were taken into custody a week later near Des Moines, Iowa.
The plea agreement Wabaunsee entered means he will be sentenced to at least 13 years in prison, followed by three years of parole. Sentencing is set for October 25th.
