TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A man drove himself to the Topeka VA Hospital Thursday after partially severing his arm.
Shawnee County Dispatch tells 13 News a call came in at 10:42 a.m. after a man with a partially severed drove himself to the Topeka VA.
The patient arrived at the VA after cutting his arm with a chainsaw. Officials told 13 News the man went to the VA because it was the hospital closest to him.
The man was triaged by ambulance to another area hospital for treatment. There was no word on the patient's condition Thursday afternoon.
