Man Cut During Attempted Robbery, Police Looking For Suspect

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Police officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Tyler Towers apartment complex around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday night.

A Topeka man told officers that another man approached him in the stairwell of the apartment building, displayed an edged weapon and demanded his wallet. When the man refused the suspect cut him with the weapon. He was taken to the hospital with minor non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect was described as a black male wearing a gray hoodie with dark colored jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
