MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say a man was attacked and cut with a sharp object during a dangerous encounter in Manhattan.
At 6:45 AM on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, officials say the victim was in the 400 block of Fremont Street when an unknown man came at him with a sharp instrument.
During a short physical altercation between the two men, the victim received several lacerations to his upper body.
The suspect managed to get away and now police are investigating the incident.
An RCPD spokesman said there was nothing in reports to indicate that the motive for the attack was robbery.
