MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say a Kansas State University student's privacy was violated by her roommate who used his phone to record her in the bathroom.

William Reed, 20, was arrested Friday morning for Breach of Privacy/Eavesdropping.

Sergeant Bradley Ingalls with the Riley County Police Department says Reed's 20-year-old female roommate reported the incident to the department at 10 AM on March 1 and said Reed used his cell phone to record her movements in the bathroom inside their apartment on Thurston Street in Manhattan.

Reed was taken into custody a short time later.

Officials list Reed and the victim, who was not identified, as Kansas State University students.

Reed's bond was set at $7,000. He has since posted bond and is out of jail.

No other details on the reported incident were released.
