WICHITA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) A piece of glass at the Sedgwick County Zoo will be replaced after being shattered by a gorilla.
KWCH-TV reports that "Billy," a 400 pound gorilla at the Zoo hit the glass with his fists Monday, shattering the window.
Officials said that Zoo visitors were never in any danger, and that it was only the first of three glass layers that had been shattered.
This is the third time a gorilla has done something like this at the Sedgwick County Zoo.
Zoo keepers say that the animals sometimes pound on the windows in order to prove their masculinity to other primates.
