Local Teachers Honored In Kansas Master Teachers Program

EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW)-Two local teachers are part of a group that received awards and appreciation.

Emporia State University recognized the seven members of this year's Kansas Masters Teachers class Wednesday.

After posing for pictures, they spent the day as students sitting behind the desk and listening to a presentation in the One Room School House near ESU campus.

Among the group are Kelly Norman, a Math Instructional Coach at Chase and Robinson Middle School. And Kacie Evans, an English teacher of Prairie Heights Elementary and Middle Schools in Alta Vista.

The teachers will have a banquet in their honor Wednesday evening.
