TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Hard work sure paid off for one local foundation.

Country Legends 106.9 finished its 7th annual Miracle Marathon for Kids radiothon on this weekend.

They raised $88,853.30 for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital Program at Saint Francis.

Over the course of three days, listeners heard stories about local children who'd been helped by the Children's Miracle Network.

Jim Allan, General Manager of Country Legends 106.9 said in a press release, "It's a credit to our listeners and Northeast Kansans. We lean on them a lot to help and every year they always come through. We're constantly blown away by their compassion and willingness to help others. It's what makes Northeast Kansas such a great community."

Kara White, CMN Hospitals Program and Development Manager at St. Francis Health Center Foundation said, "Sick and injured children in Northeast Kansas are happier and healthier because of the wonderful listeners of Country Legends 106.9".

All donations were received from listeners in Northeast Kansas.
