Little Apple Drops To Welcome 2013 In Manhattan
MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The new year arrived with plenty of glitz in the Little Apple.
Thousands of people packed the streets in the Aggieville district to watch an apple-shaped ball descend from atop Varney's bookstore at midnight. K-State men's basketball coach Bruce Weber and his family assisted with the countdown.
Moro Street was renamed "Broadway" for the festivities that included fireworks and a laser show.
This was the 10th year for the event.
